Split Queen Sheets

Split queen sheets are necessary for that rarely sold queen set (60 inches wide by 80 inches long) that actually has two mattresses on top. Split queen box springs are common but split queen mattresses are not. Split queen box springs are used if a conventional queen box spring will not fit through a doorway, around a turn in a hallway, etc. I have delivered many mattress sets and I would love to have $1.00 for every queen set sold that will fit. Generally a box spring or a box foundation has no give to it you can squeeze them around corners. Queen mattresses have some give to they generally can go more places.

A split queen mattress is a whole different ballgame. There are two reasons that I can think of for ordering a split queen mattress. The first reason, of course, is if the mattress and box spring will not fit where it is going and you prefer a queen size bed. The second, more creative reason to order a split queen mattress is if two sleeping partners like different sleeping surfaces. One may like a firm mattress and the other a soft mattress. This is doable. It looks better if the mattresses are about the same height. Each side of a split queen mattress will be 30 inches wide by 80 inches long. In comparison, a twin mattress is approximately 39 inches wide by 75 inches long. Because the individual width of a split queen is so narrow, few people would opt to separate the split queen (if they also had split box springs), with a nightstand separating the two sides or some other divided.

Our split queen sheet sets have your choice of two fitted bottom sheets or one fitted bottom sheet, the single fitted bottom sheet being the most popular. The single split queen bottom sheet is more popular because the bed is easier to make. If you ever want to separate the beds, opt for the two separate bottom sheets. The top sheets for the split queen sheet set are separate and two pillows are included.
